Authorities have rushed to Chiang Mai’s Chaiprakarn Province, after reports that over 200 pigs have died from unknown causes in one farm. The corpses of the pigs have been destroyed and there is fear that there may be some communicable disease to watch out for. The public health office is now sending teams around the province to ensure that any pork sold is up to standard and not contaminated.

Kritsiam Kongsatree, Head of Doi Inthanon National Park, said that temperatures on top of Doi Inthanon have dropped to 12 degrees Celsius at its peak and 19 degrees at national park headquarters. He invites all visitors to come visit the sites, saying that the popular Kew Mae Pan will be reopening on the 1st November for sure.
