The movie of this week is “Comrades, Almost a Love Story”, directed by Peter Chan (Chen Kexin), produced in 1996. The Chinese title of this movie is “Tian Mimi” which refers to a song by Teresa Teng, and her songs are also featured in the film.
The film, spanning years, centres on two Chinese mainlanders who migrate to Hong Kong to make a living, but end up falling in love. In an interview, the director mentioned that the film is not a love story. Rather, it is about life in ‘80s Hong Kong for migrants from mainland China like the lead characters, and singer Teresa Teng.
The movie will be shown in original soundtrack (Chinese) with Chinese, English and Thai subtitles.

本周的电影是《甜蜜蜜》，由陈可辛导演，于1996年上映。本片的名字来源于邓丽君的歌曲《甜蜜蜜》， 在本片中也贯穿了她的歌曲。
这部电影以两名来自中国大陆的移民为中心，展开了他们之间多年的故事。 他们本是来香港开始新生活的，但最后却双双坠入爱河。在一次采访中，导演陈可辛谈到这部影片时说，这并不是一部爱情片，实则是一部关于像电影主角及邓丽君这样的80年代香港移民们的生活故事。
电影会以原声中文播放，配有中文、英文和泰语字幕。
