Shangri-La Chiang Mai Hosts Inspiring Earth Day Activities for Community Engagement
Chiang Mai, Thailand – April 22, 2024 – Shangri-La Chiang Mai proudly celebrated Earth Day 2024 by hosting engaging activities aimed at fostering community collaboration and environmental awareness.
In the morning, the hotel organized the official opening and handover ceremony of the Community Organic Garden Project at Chareon Prathed Park. This collaborative initiative involved Shangri-La Chiang Mai staff working together to build and plant an organic vegetable garden for the local community to enjoy free produce. The project signifies a commitment to fostering relationships and collaboration with the Chiang Mai Municipality and local residents.
Later in the afternoon, the hotel welcomed local media, hotel guests, and colleagues to join a tree planting ceremony and a unique tea workshop conducted by Mr. Raju Subba, a Tea Master from Araksa Tea Garden. Guests had the opportunity to learn about tea culture and indulge in tasting sessions paired with special snacks. Additionally, Mr. Jern from Slow Hands Studio showcased pottery making, enhancing the artistic and eco-friendly theme of the day.
These activities were designed to raise awareness about Earth Day, encouraging participants to reflect on the importance of Mother Earth and environmental conservation.
