 U.S. Chargé d’Affaires Michael Heath paid a courtesy call with the new Chiang Mai Governor Prajon Pratsakun. . Afterwards he held a short press interview with local media where he explained they discussed many issues of collaboration between the United States of America and the Kingdom of Thailand including ‘Vaccine Donations’: the U.S. had donated 1.5 million doses of Pfizer Covid19 vaccines already with a further million to be donated shortly, and the U.S. is committed to helping their oldest alley in Asia through this pandemic. Other topics that were discussed included how the U.S. the Thailand’s largest export market, helping tourism in Thailand to recover, in particular the high end market, and helping Chiang Mai province beat the annual pollution problem with both technical knowledge and equipment.
