U.S. Ambassador Visits Chiang Mai Governor

The U.S. Ambassador Michael George DeSombre paid a courtesy call on the Chiang Mai Governor Charoenrit Sanguansat. After the meeting the ambassador held a press interview with local media. Upon being asked ‘How do you think the conflict between the U.S. and China’: he replied ‘Thailand does not need to take sides, however this is the first U.S. Administration that sees China the way it is and not the way the U.S. wants it to be’.
