Tong Tung Market at Baan Rim Nam on the Chiang Mai – Mae Jo Road (1km past Meechok Plaza)
The market is Green Market open every weekend from 8am until 4pm. Plenty of food stalls selling northern Thai food, Vietnamese food, a local bakery, homemade soft drinks and much more besides. There are also other ‘green stalls’ selling clothing and recycled items. Plus turtles!!!!! The organizers aim for a plastic free market.
Every month there is a workshop from a top Chiang Mai chef: April’s workshop was by Chef Pathapee Moonkobkaew (Oan) from l’Elephant Restaurant, who showed how to make mayonnaise with infused olive oil.
