The 75th Indian Republic Day Cultural Evening

The Consulate of India hosted a Cultural Evening to mark the 75th Republic Day of India. Firstly young Thai artists performing as Bharat Sangeet Band enthralled the audience with their rendition of Hindi film songs which are popular in Thailand and have also been translated and composed in Thai language. The entire audience were on their feet and the artists enthusiastically responded to demands of ‘once more’, ‘once more’ many many times.
Later accomplished singers Swan Bay, Parth Patel and Ahmad accompanied by instrumentalists Vinimay Kaul and Sailesh Dosi sang songs written and composed by Rabindranath Tagore – Asia’s first Nobel laureate, and patriotic and folk songs.
Subhashani compered the event and Accha Authentic Indian Cuisine and Chai N Thai served a variety of dishes from different parts of India.
