Songkran at Anantara Chiang Mai

Anantara Chiang Mai celebrated Songkran in a traditional fun way. The management, staff and guests enjoyed the Songkran festivities in the resort throughout the day. Guests are invited to participate and observe the Song Nam Phra or Buddha Image Bathing in the lobby area. Then the water fight took place in front of the resort with members of staff and guests joining the fun fare to beat the heat of a summer day. Later in late afternoon, guests were invited to join and watch the long drum parade from the lobby to the pool lawn, followed by the circle dance. Rod Nam Dam Hua or Water blessing of the senior management took place by the pool, and the day ended with fun Thai games such as sack sun, cucumber golfing and tug of war.
