Royal Lanna Procession to Three Kings Monument

Royal Lanna Procession took place between 10 – 12 June 2016 for the 720th Anniversary of the founding of Chiang Mai City and the 550th Anniversary of the Lord Buddha’s Bone at Wat Phra That Sri Jomtong.  On the 10 June the procession carrying the Lord Buddha’s Bone left Wat Phra That Sri Jomtong and travelled to Wat Ton Kwen.  On 11 June the procession continued to Wat Suan Dok, entering the old city at Chang Puak Gate, then continued to Three Kings Monument (see photos attached). On 12 June at midday the procession will return back to Wat Phra That Sri Jomtong. The procession was led by The Governor of Chiang Mai Pawin Chamniprasart, members of the Lanna Royal Family, local dignitaries and members of the military dressed in traditional Lanna costumes.
