Orlando Candle-Light Vigil at U.S. Consulate

A candle-light vigil was held at the U.S. Consulate General Chiang Mai to remember those who died at the Orlando (Florida) massacre on 12 June 2016. 49 people lost their lives and 53 wounded at the Pulse night club; many of whom were part of the LGBT community. The vigil in Chiang Mai to show solidarity with the LGBT community in Orlando was led by U.S. Consul General Michael G Heath and Rev. Iain Baxter from the All Saints Church. Well over 100 people, Thai and foreigners, turned up including many from the LGBT Chiang Mai Group and M Plus
