Screening and debate of Portuguese short movie Madness with director Joao Viana at MAIIAM Contemporary Art. The objective of the screening is to introduce the topic of de-colonialism in cinema which at the same time is part of a new wave of African, South American and Asian cinema. The film The Battle of Tabato (2013), from the same director, shot in Guine-Bissau is considered by academics to be the first decolonial film in the Lusophone-speaking world. Madness, the short film to my feature film Our Madness, follows in the same path for the history of Mozambique
