Opening of Ganesh Chaturthi Festival at Wat Sri Suphan, with a Puja ceremony.
September 19 – 28 Ganesh Chaturthi Festival of Chiang Mai will celebrate Lord Ganesha at Silver Temple Wat Sri Suphan, Silver Handicraft Community, Wualai Road, Mueang Chiang Mai District, Chiang Mai. Every day until September 27 from 6pm until 7pm Ganesh puja in ancient wisdom with frankincense, flowers, fire, ladoo, motaga, modak by Brahman, Brahmani, Savami and or Savamini. Then from 7PM – 9PM Music, singing, dance in Lanna, Ancient and MultiNational styles for heal body, mind, soul and respect to Lord Ganesha.
September 28 from 10am until 12 noon – Parade of Ganesha statues will starting from Silver Temple of Wat Sri Suphan and passing Chiang Mai Gate, Thapae Gate, Chiang Moi Road, Varorod Market, Flowers Market, Navarat Bridge and stop at SorSorSor Public Park at front of First Church of Chiang Mai (Charoenrat Road).
