Chinese New Year Opening Celebrations & Parade

Opening of the Chinese New Year Celebrations at Worarot Market (China Town). Prior to the opening there was a Parade from Thapae Gate to Worarot Market.

The event was presided over by Chiang Mai Provincial Governor Nirat Phongsittithaworn, Chinese Consul General to Chiang Mai Chen Haiping and Chiang Mai Municipality Mayor Assanee Buranupakorn.

On Saturday (10 January 2024) evening from 6.30pm onwards  at Worarot Market,there will be Dragon  and Lion Dance Shows, Thai-Chinese cultural performances, performance by Nong Khaitun (The Golden Song), Mister China Town Chiang Mai 2024 Contest.

On Sunday there will be activities from 1pm until late in the evening, including cooking competitions, Thai-Chinese cultural performances, music by Saman Soul Band, more Dragon & lion Dance Shows, and Miss China Town Chiang Mai 2024 Contest.
