Immigration Parade Held to Promote Stricter Immigration But Good Care of Tourists over Songkran

CityNews – Immigration Division 5 arranged a parade to promote crime eradication and good immigration process speeds over the Songkran period, on April 7.

At the parade Pol.Col.Sumate Bawonsawattachat,Deputy Commissioner of Immigration Division 5 and Pol.Col. Ruchapong Sangwanangkul, Superintendent of Chiang Mai Immigration gave a speech titled ‘Wiping out the crime parade open ceremony’.

200 people from relevant departments attended the parade.

The goal of the parade was to emphasis the attention that immigration officials need to have to prevent illegal immigrants and foreign criminals entering the Kingdom, and the prevention of terrorism. It was also added that the screening of foreigners entering Thailand will be stricter from now on.

Another aspect of the parade was to promote good immigration process speeds to ensure tourists have no problems while they holiday over the Songkran period.
