Youth Leadership Conference about Climate Change

CityNews – The Ministry of Sciences and Technology and National Astronomical Research Institute of Thailand (Public Organisation) recently held a youth leadership conference on climate change ASEAN, to create more awareness of climate weather change, disasters, and environmental problems.

Associate Professor Boonraksa Sunthorntham, the director of National Astronomical Research Institute of Thailand (Public Organisation), told the press that the institute had coordinated with the ASEAN Environment Youth Network to host the youth leadership conference on climate, ASEAN, at the Information Technology and Astronomical Training Centre, near Inthanon National Park.

The conference invited 37 juniors, aged 18 – 24 years old, from 14 countries. The youths exchanged ideas about climate change, astronomy, space, and biodiversity. The youths were also trained how to publicise information for the public, and how to inform people about climate change via media.
