CityNews – Chiang Mai’s Loy Krathong festival is officially announced.
Chiang Mai Municipality officially announced that Yi Peng Festival will be held from 9th to 12th November. The Chiang Mai Loy Krathong festival will feature lit candles around the moat, lantern displays, fireworks and cultural performances.
The festival will start on the 9th with candle lighting around the moat and at the Three Kings Monument. On the 10th will be the official opening ceremony at Tha Pae Gate which will feature kids’ contests. Merit making will be held on the 11th at Chedi Khao.
