CityNews – December 18th, Chiang Mai’s famous panda couple Chuang Chuang and Lin Hui are being displayed outdoors at the Chiang Mai Zoo to allow them to exercise and experience the cold during the winter time.
According to Nipon Wichairat, director of the Chiang Mai Zoo, the outdoor ‘backyard’ display was decorated to imitate real nature. More bamboos was planted, and a mock-up waterfall and stream were set up in the area too.
The two pandas will appear on alternate days.
Each day visitors can experience the pandas in their outdoors pen between 8.30am to 10.30am. However, Director Nipon added the time is flexible to meet appropriate circumstances.
The outdoor display will last throughout the winter.
