Meteorological Department announces next week as the official start of winter
CityNews – Climate in the northern parts of Thailand including Chiang Mai has become noticeably cooler in the evenings, as temperature drops at night, particularly in the mountains. Mountain villagers are already preparing their winter clothing and favourite winter attractions such as Doi Inthanon, Chiang Dao, and Pha Mom Pot are already drawing in the crowds, eager to show off their winter wear.
The Meteorological Department has officially announced that the 17th of October will be the start of 2019’s winter season. It has also projected cooler temperatures this year than in previous years.
