CityNews – 18th November 2019, around 2pm Pol. Maj. Seri Triamwong of Chom Thong police station received the report that a water truck belonging to the Thai Air Force had turned over on the road up Doi Inthanon National Park near the junction to the pagoda, causing injury and death. Police officers and rescue team rushed into the scene with first aid tools to help injured persons.
Initial investigation revealed that the truck carrying four persons lost its balance and turned over onto the side of the road. Two persons died at the scene while the other two were injured. An investigation of this accident is underway.
