CityNews – Warm Heart Worldwide has joined #GivingTuesday, a global day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage philanthropy and to celebrate generosity worldwide. Their campaign “Be the Change” began on November 1, 2015, and will continue through to December 1.
#GivingTuesday is held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday to kick-off the holiday giving season and inspire people to collaborate in improving their local communities and to give back in impactful ways to the charities and causes they support.
Warm Heart has placed donation boxes around the Chiang Mai area,which will remain until December 1.
Campaign manager Carol Culver De Leo stated, “We are hopeful that the community of Chiang Mai will rally behind our efforts. We encourage everyone to get involved, either through watching for our boxes and donating what you can, or joining us with your own efforts to collect donations through December 1, 2015″.

A “Counting Party” with all the children who live at Warm Heart’s three Children’s Homes will be held on Wednesday, December 3rd.
About Warm Heart
Warm Heart is a grassroots organization that empowers rural Thai villagers. Working with the community, Warm Heart organizes projects that improve access to education, basic health services, and jobs and sustainable incomes to the poorest people in the Phrao District of Chiang Mai, Thailand. We maintain three Children’s Homes serving 40 at-risk children, providing them with a safe and loving environment with access to an education. We support another 18 children living at a Government Boarding School in Phrao.
