Tree Branches Causes Injury

CityNews – Many areas in the city and in Sarapee district, especially in Nong Phueng sub-district, faced heavy rainstorms late last week with numerous large tree branches falling on the Chiang Mai – Lamphun road.

Sarapee police were told of a motorcyclist, Sanchai Sakkongnantakul, 20, who was hit by a falling tree branch, around 5 metres long, on Chiang Mai – Lamphun road in Nong Phueng sub-district. His motorcycle was found laying on the road. Meanwhile, he was found with injuries on his face and body.

After receiving first aid from rescue officers, Sanchai was sent to Ratchawet Hospital.

On the same day, another falling tree branch fell on the back of 54-year-old Kannika Promwong’s car on the same road, causing damages.

According to Kannika, she had driven from the city, headed to Sarapee district.
