CityNews – On March 6, Kornkarn Wattanavrangkul, Minister of Tourism and Sport, was a guest of honour at the opening event ‘Bok Rak Song Fang Klhong’ at Pha Than Beach, Chiang Khong District, Chiang Rai.
This event was held in order to promote tourism between Thailand and Laos, and to preserving the cultures of Lanna and Lanchang. It was also a pilot project to work on future events with neighbouring countries.
Boonsong Techamaneesathit, the Chiang Rai Governor, said that Chiang Khong was an ideal place due to its beautiful environment as well as rich cultural heritage.
The event was full of shows and activities. And also had many booths of local food and OTOP products for sale.
