CityNews – The Mae Takhrai temple in Mae On has been equipped with 16 CCTV cameras following the ‘police eyes’ project, to increase the deterrent of crimes and help trace those who commit crimes.
On February 27, police set up 16 CCTV cameras around the temple, 11 around the grounds and five near the entrance and exit.
In celebration of the CCTV system, the abbot of Mae Takhrai temple has invited locals and visitors to attend a Buddhist ceremony on march 3, and has asked for donations to help build the base of a statue.
