TAT Assures Public Hotel Bookings Unaffected by Protests

CityNews – We recently reported that nine countries had issued travel warnings to their citizens, which the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) says has not yet resulted in any hotel cancellations. The governor Surapol Svetasreni said in a statement on Tuesday 12th November that the TAT was closely monitoring the impact of recent protests on tourism.Tourism alive and well in Chiang Mai.
Svetasreni added that officials had been mingling with protesters to get a better grasp of the situation, and that they are working closely with overseas hotels and organizations to ensure a good flow of tourists into Thailand this peak season.
