The meteorological department has announced a warning of the possibility of severe summer storms across the north between now and tomorrow evening.
Up to 40% of the north could see some rain over the coming 24 hours, said the department, with possibility of hail.
Areas which could see storms include Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Mae Hong Son, Lamphun, Lampang, Phrae, Nan, Uttaradit, Sukhotai, Pitsanuloke, Phichit, Kampangpetch and Phetchabun.
Around 1pm today, Mae Hong Son’s Sop Moei district as well as areas of Hod district saw violent storms, with damages to property, but no reported injuries.
