Slightly warmer winter expected

The Meteorological Department has announced that winter in the upper north of Thailand will run from the end of October this year until the end of February next year.

Temperatures are expected to average at between 21 and 22 degrees Celsius, one or two degrees above average years, which sits at 20 degrees.

Some areas should see temperatures as low as 10 degrees, but not much lower.

The coldest period will be at the middle of December until the end of January.
