Signing Ceremony for Thailand, Burma, Indonesia Trade Cooperation

CityNews – September 6, Wipawan Woraputtipong, president of the Chiang Mai Chamber of Commerce, and the two presidents of Mandalay Chamber of Commerce (Burma) and North Sumatra Chamber Of Commerce (Indonesia), joined the signing ceremony of cooperation for trade and investment at Lanna Expo 15 Grand Sale, held at Chiang Mai International Exhibition and Convention Centre.

This event aims to create trade and investment cooperation among private sectors in the future, especially the coming of ASEAN at the beginning of next year.

According to Wipawan, most of the products, which have been imported from Burma to Chiang Mai, are tourism and agricultural products, meanwhile Chiang Mai has imported fuel from Indonesia.

Burma has imported tourism and herbal products from Chiang Mai. Indonesia has imported Thai herbals, tourism products, and Halal products.

She believes this signing ceremony will be an important start to maintain the export of products in the future.
