CityNews – Police and immigration officers arrested seven illegal immigrants from Burma aged between 18 and 29 on October 27 after their documents were inspected at a checkpoint in Lamphun.
The seven illegal immigrants (four males, three females) were found to have entered the Kingdom without permission.
They told officials that three Thais, 28-year-old Pattapong Ponarin, 49-year-old Prasit Kaewseekiaw and 25-year-old Siriporn Pimsri, helped them cross the borders.
The three Thais were also arrested and Siriporn was also charged with attempted bribery of a police officer.
The immigrants confessed that they had entered illegally to come and work in Thailand.
