CityNews – A school in Mae Hong Son was forced to close temporarily due to the tropical storm Son Tinh.
The tropical storm Son Tinh which has been causing heavy rains lately in several areas in northern Thailand has affected northern rural areas the most, according to authorities.
In Om Koi, the heavy rains damaged plantations, plumbing and roads. Longpae Wittaya School in Sop Moei, Mae Hong Son temporarily closed for a whole week after the area became too dangerous and difficult to travel in.
Local authorities have been assisting those affected.
