Reducing Pollution this year: Clean Skies Activities Around Phuping Palace

CityNews – Chiang Mai Governor Vichien Phuttiwinyu opened the ‘Take Care of Chiang Mai for Skies without Pollution’, an event aimed to stop forestry burning in the coming months.From 1st February – 21st April, for 80 days, there will be a campaign to reduce pollution, says the governor. Exhibitions put on by involved organizations will be open to the public and there will be demonstrations on how to put out forest fires. There will also be a car rally to tell the public about the campaign.
The governor talked to the press about his concerns for our dwindling natural resources which must be protected and how the pollution is affecting tourism, health, society and economics, all adding to the climate change problems around the world.
