CityNews – A motorcycle driver died from injuries sustained after a collision on the second ring road in Fah Ham at around 2am Saturday morning, May 30.
When rescue services arrived, 26-year-old Chankanit Nantiya was found lying on the road severely injured and bleeding heavily.
His motorcycle was destroyed.
Despite all efforts to save the man, he died from his injuries at the scene.
Nobody saw the collision take place but residents heard the sound of a revving motorcycle before a loud crash.
Police discovered debris that belonged to a second vehicle, thought to be a cement truck that fled the scene.
Local construction sites are being searched for the damaged vehicle.
The body was taken to Maharaj Nakorn Chiang Mai Hospital for an autopsy.
The man’s family have been informed and the investigation continues.
