CityNews – 17th March 2020, at Three Kings Monument, Chiang Mai Governor Charoenrit Sanguansat officially opened the ‘Show the Power of Chiang Mai in Fighting COVID-19’.
Boonlert Buranupakorn, President of the Chiang Mai Provincial Administrative Organisation explained the purpose of the event which was also attended by General Pichet Jeeranantasin, head of the northern army along with many top level government officials and representatives from various organisations and associations by saying that authorities will begin spraying disinfectant around town, especially at highly populated and touristy areas.
Boonlert went on to say that there is a concerted effort by all authorities to spray disinfectant in major public places like transport hubs, public transportation, fresh markets, shopping malls, entertainment venues and such.
