With temperatures dropping to a chilling two degrees on top of Thailand’s second highest mountain, Doi Luang Chiang Dao, tourists have been making the steep and long trek up to its peak to take in the vista.

Visitors are asked to register in advance to ensure entry, as only 100 visitors are allowed up per day.

Even if you can’t go, just looking at these pictures will allow your imagination to escape the city, if just for a few minutes.
