CityNews – Entrepreneurs and local people living in Mae Ram sub-district, Mae Rim district are urging authorities to seek solutions concerning a landfill that has been reeking in the area. This is not the first time the issue has been raised. The Mae Rim local administration responded by confirming that the office has been continuously working on the issue over the past many months.
The land fill is located in a 17.5 rai of land reportedly takes in between 40 to 50 tonnes of waste a day from various areas in Mae Rim district. The official confirmed that the landfill is legitimate and is one used legally by the local administration while explaining that they are aware of the damage to the tourism industry, especially during the high season which is soon. The official also confirmed that the matter has been raised up to an urgent issue which the authorities are working on finding a solution for.
