Mae Jo rescue service say that their team, along with other rescue teams, are happy to announce that they have now found the mushroom hunter who was lost in the forests.
They were initially contacted when Sakda Kinthiya, 68, along with a friend, who had entered the forests of Muang Len, Sansai District to hunt for mushrooms became separated. Sakda’s friend had lost track of Sakda and had returned to the village to alert authorities.
The pair had gone into the forest early in the morning and by nightfall Sakda had yet to return. With heavy rains and surrounded by darkness, rescue workers were concerned and mobilized a large group of people to search for him.
Sakda was finally found around 10pm that night. He was in deep fatigue, but otherwise in good spirits.
