A large magnolia tree fell atop some homes in the community near Wat Phra That Doi Suthep yesterday, damaging four homes.
Villagers say that they heard a large crack which allowed them time to not only leave their houses, but remove valuables before the tree fell.
The local village leader said that he will work with authorities to trim trees in the future, as this has become an annual occurrence.
