Lady-only Taxis for Thailand?

CityNews – On 1^st October Adchatai Rattanadilok Na Phuket, the Deputy Director General of the Department of Transport, proposed the idea of a lady-only Taxi service for women in Thailand.

The project is still in research process, but so far some proposals are that lady-taxis will all be the same colour (pink was mentioned), no males can ever be picked up, and to ensure quality service the price might have to be higher than regular taxis.  

It was reported in the Thai media that in Chiang Mai women taxi drivers have already been running and they charge a minimum of 150 baht for anywhere in the city limits. Anywhere further afield will cost from 200 baht to 9000 baht.
