Please be warned if you intend to use the old Chiang Mai-Lamphun road this Sunday.
Anticipating the imminent easing of the lockdown which will allow filming, the Thai movie industry is moving fast and has already requested the shutdown of the Old Chiang Mai-Lamphun Road to film a movie which hopes to promote tourism to Chiang Mai, as the iconic road will be heavily featured and part of the narrative.
The filming will begin at 6am on Sunday 13th and end at 2pm on the same day. The road from Saraphi Temple to Saraphi Hospital will be closed.
Traffic is expected to be very jammed, so best to avoid the area entirely, or take the railway track road.
