CityNews – Naruemon Sanai, 29, and her boyfriend, who run a motorcycle rental service, reported a case against Rampao Inta, 53, after their vehicles were stolen. Naruemon explained that they were a frequent customer of Rampao’s, a food vendor in the Santitham area. She described their relationships as “close” which led them to allow Rampao to rent a motorcycle without a deposit.

On September 22nd, Rampao visited their place claiming she had a friend coming over from Bangkok and would love to rent a motorcycle. She was offered the regular cost which is a 2,000 baht deposit and a 200 baht rental fee per day. A few days later, Rampao agreed to rent the bike for two days, but said that she couldn’t afford the deposit. Naruemon explained that they were well acquainted so she didn’t have concerns in renting her the bike with no deposit.

After two days, Rampao came back, paid the 400 baht fee, and said she would like to extend the rental contract. Naruemon said she asked for the rental period but did not get an answer. Rampao claimed she had another friend coming from Bangkok and would like to rent another motorcycle. Again, they allowed her to do so. The next day, Rampao came back to pay the 800 baht fee. However, after that Naruemon was unable to reach her again. They went to Rampao’s stall in Santitham and met with her daughter who is allegedly unaware of her whereabouts.

Police are investigating the matter.
