CityNews – Around 6:30 p.m. on April 3, Mae Ping Police received a call about a house fire near Wat Jedi Liam on Khao Klang Road in Nong Hoi. The Chiang Mai Municipal Fire Department and a nearby fire department went to the two-storey house that was in flames. 45 minutes later, they were able to put out the fire, but the house was totally destroyed.
An investigation by Mae Ping Police found out the home belongs to Pol.Maj.Gen. Prasai Sangkhasab, former Phayao Police Chief. The cause of fire is thought to be an electrical short circuit, pending full inspection by fire marshals. No one was harmed.
