CityNews – July 16, a pickup truck and a motorcycle collided on Liab Kan Klong Chonlapratan road in Hang Dong area, causing the death of one passenger and the injury of three others.
By the time police arrived at the scene, the motorcycle was found severely damaged and laying by the side of the road. The pickup truck was found crashed into an electricity pole.
The pickup truck’s driver was identified as 49-year-old Pairot Mahathongchai.
He told the police as he and his wife, Somboon, 49, headed to the city, the motorcycle with three people suddenly crosscut their car, leading to the collision. The motorcycle bounced off and his car and he swerved off the road and crashed into the electricity pole.
Somboon was suffering chest and back pains from the accident. Two of the three people on motorcycle were severely injured while the other died at the scene.
The investigations are ongoing.
