CMU Graduation will Affect Traffic on 24th and 25th January

CityNews – Anyone going to the Nimmanhaemin area in the next few days please be aware that it is the Chiang Mai University’s graduation ceremony, which will be presided by Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn at Chiang Mai University Convention Centre on January 25th.

Chiang Mai Regional Police Traffic Centre will make a temporarily one way system in some areas and have asked drivers for cooperation not to stop or park on some roads as detailed below:

1. All vehicles are not allowed to stop or park on the both sides of Chiang Rai, Nimmanhaemin, Suthep, Sea-game and Huay Kaew Roads as well as on Rim Nam Mansion Soi, on 24th – 25th January between 12.01am to 7pm.

2. There will be a one way system on Nimmanhaemin and Huay Kaew Roads on both the 24th and 25th January between 6am to 6pm.

3. Vehicles are not allowed to enter:
– Wat Umong Junction
– Ton Payom Junction
– Faculty of Agriculture Junction
– Chiang Mai Phucome Junction
– Chang Kian Junction

4. U-turns are banned along Huay Kaew Road:
– The u-turn in front of Boat restaurant
– The u-turn in front of Chiang Mai University
– The u-turn in front of Rajamangala University of Technology Lanna
– The u-turn in front of Phuping Rajanivej Police Station

5. If any traffic problems are found, the traffic police will prohibit vehicles on some roads on 24th and 25th January according to circumstances.

6. Traffic officers will draw a line or mark a symbol or signs on the roads. If there are any vehicles parked on the roads, they will be immediately moved out of the areas.
