CityNews – June 16, Chang Puek police were alerted to a discovery of a female body in an apartment in Sri Phum area.
The body was found next to the bed in her room and believed to be dead for at least four days by the time the police arrived at the scene.
There was no foul play found on her body and her assets were not stolen.
The police found a document for a doctor’s appointment, identifying the body as Sopha Boonma, 32, from the Shan state.
According to witnesses, Sopha worked at a karaoke bar. She was last seen 3 – 4 days before her body was found.
The apartment’s caretaker smelled odors from the room, so he knocked on the door but no one answered. He finally decided to pry open the door and found the body.
The police believe Sopha might have died from a congenital disease.
The body was taken to Maharaj Nakorn Chiang Mai Hospital for an autopsy.
