CityNews – Flamingos have been a popular draw at the Chiang Mai Zoo for many years, but their numbers have not increased much due to the difficulty of breeding these iconic pink birds. Good news for those who love fluffy little chicks, three flamingos have recently dropped eggs and within a few weeks three chicks are expected to hatch, all at roughly the same time. Flamingos lay one egg per year on average, though when in captivity this number is much rarer.

The Zoo invites everyone to go along for a visit in the next few weeks to see the three additional flamingos which will be joining the 37 already in captivity.
