CityNews – 16th March 2020, the Chiang Mai International Airport announced that it is now conducting entry screening at CNX. Whether it is a passenger, a delivery person, a transportation driver or someone picking up a relative, for the first time everyone will be screened.

Gates 3, 6, 9 and 10 will have handheld thermometers taking everyone’s temperature to make sure they are not higher than 37.5 degrees celcius. If anyone’s temperature is higher than that they will be asked to rest for 3-5 minutes before being tested again. If it remains high, they will not be allowed into the terminal. Doctors will be on hand to evaluate cases with high temperatures to assess their ability to travel.

All passengers are warned to arrive at the airport with extra time to spare in case of any inconveniences. Passengers are asked to arrive at least two hours before flight departure.
