Kad Ang Kaew has opened up at Sala Ang Kaew, in Chiang Mai University, offering an opportunity for vendors and farmers who have suffered economic losses a chance to sell their goods. All produce can be sold at no cost to the vendor, as the university is giving away the space for free.
Professor Niwes Nantachit, President of Chiang Mai University, officially opened the market today.
With all accepted social distancing and hygiene measures in place, the market only allowed 200 people on premises at a time.
Kad Ang Kaew will be open every Tuesday and Thursday between 8am and 11am. Prospectus vendors are asked to contact the university for details.
