A group of mathayom 3 boys were playing near a reservoir yesterday when one friend drowned.
According to the group, two boys decided to swim out to an island in the middle of the reservoir while the rest remained on the shores.
Both boys began to tire on the way back and one boy began to call for help. Some friends swam out and managed to save one boy. The even reached out and touched the hand of the other boy before he appeared to have become fatigued and drowned.
The deceased boy was raised by his grandfather and relatives and his funeral will be held this weekend.
