CityNews — Police Region 5 along with Sodsri Ponguthai, director of the Excise Department, arrested Kuichiang Zhang, 46, and seized 1,400 items of BB guns, cards, and lighters that had been illegally imported. The value of the products was estimated at 200,000 baht.
The arrest is in accordance with the policy of the Royal Thai Police in order to crackdown on smuggled goods.
Officals randomly inspected stores in the Chiang Moi area and found smuggled goods inside Zhang’s store.
She admitted to the crime and confessed that she ordered the products from Bangkok to be sold for wholesale and retail prices.
She will be prosecuted.
