Over 400,000 Baht and Four Trucks Full of Clothes Donated to Laos from Chiang Mai

CityNews – Chiang Mai has raised over 400,000 baht in aid and filled four trucks with donated clothes and items for those affected in the floods in Lao.

A caravan of four trucks filled with donated goods to those affected by floods in PDR Laos set out today, August 3rd, from Tha Pae Gate. The caravan will be arriving Lao via the Chong Mek Border in Ubon Ratchathani.

A call for donations was issued on July 27th following the devastating floods in southern Laos after a dam broke and let hundreds of thousands of cubic metres of water out over the villages downstream.

In addition to the donated clothes and items, people in Chiang Mai have donated a total of 437,023.79 Baht through the official donation account to those in need.
