CityNews – Five sub-districts in Chiang Mai have been officially declared as suffering from Severe drought this week.
Chiang Mai Governor Pawin Chamniprasart said that the five areas which are now suffering from the drought are Mae Teang, Chom Thong, Phrao, Doi Lo, and Hod.
He described the drought as severe, affecting 148 villages and 54,232 residents.
However, Pawin also added that there is still enough water for people to use and consume in these areas.
